What To Expect

All newborn sessions take place in my cosy home studio—a calm, welcoming space designed with a soft, neutral, dreamy feel, where you and your newborn are always the focus.

My style is warm, gentle, and timeless. I’m drawn to the quiet in-between moments—the tiny details, the tender connections, and the way those early days feel when everything is new. You don’t need to do anything special—just arrive ready to cuddle your baby and be present with the people you love, while I take care of capturing those fleeting newborn details you’ll want to remember forever.

I’ll guide you gently throughout the session so you feel relaxed and comfortable. If you have older children, there’s plenty of room for them too—whether they’re softly cuddling their new sibling or showing up exactly as they are in that moment. Each session includes a mix of newborn-only images and family photographs, capturing your baby, your bond, and the love that holds your family together.

When is the best time to have to have newborn photos taken?

You might have heard that newborn photography needs to happen within the first two weeks, but the truth is, it doesn’t have to. I often photograph babies up to four weeks old, due to life throwing unexpected curve balls or mums needing more time to feel themselves, whats most important is you and your baby are comfortable.

In those early days, we can capture those dreamy, curled-up womb like poses and their tiny, delicate features. If your baby is closer to four weeks, they might already be showing glimpses of their personality, which can make for beautifully expressive images, we’ll still get those sweet, sleepy moments, but we might also capture some gorgeous wide-eyed looks, delicate yawns, or tiny hands clutching yours. No matter when you book your session, we’ll capture timeless photographs that celebrate your baby just as they are.

For babies over 6 weeks old I usually recommend an in-home session, a more relaxed way to document your newborn, postpartum stage

Booking your session

Booking in advance is highly recommended anytime between your 12 to 20 week scan. I limit bookings each month to remain flexible for all the new arrivals, ensuring I can fit everyone in as needed.

As we cannot predict when your little one will arrive we do not set a session date until your baby is here, all you have to do is pop me a text over once baby has arrived and we will get a mutually convenient date in the diary (usually within 14 days postpartum)

Newborn sessions take place on: Mondays, Thursdays &Fridays - weekends can be booked in advance but fill up quickly!

A retainer of 50% of the session fee ensures your place in my diary with the remainder due on the day of your session.

MY PROCESS & HOW IT WORKS

01 Fill out my contact form and let me know your due date including if you need a weekend session due to having older siblings you would like in the photos.

Once I have confirmed my availability I will send you a booking link where your retainer can be paid, securing your session. A flexible date is written in my diary and all you have to do is let me know when baby has arrived.

02 You will receive a session and style guide upon booking to help you plan for your session, if you need any extra info i am merely a message away.

03 The day of your session - All you have to do is show up relaxed and ready to connect - I will be capturing every special moment and gently prompt you throughout so that you can simply enjoy yourselves!

04 Two weeks after your session, I'll email you a link to your online gallery where you can view all of your images. You can then download your 10 chosen images or upgrade directly from your gallery store, where you can also purchase a variety of beautiful prints and print products.
